Local radio station Z95.3 dropped a TV ad featuring actors portraying nurses dancing seductively as if in a Kylie Minogue video.

Local radio station Z95.3 has pulled one of its new television ads after getting complaints from some B.C. nurses.

The ad features actors portraying male and female nurses singing and dancing to a Kylie Minogue song, in images reminiscent of one of the pop artist's videos.

The premise behind the campaign was that great music has an infectious way of taking over.

But several B.C. nurses have complained about the commercial, calling it disrespectful and saying it portrays nurses in an unprofessional manner.

The station agreed to voluntarily pull the ad.

Minogue and Waterman to re-unite

Pop star Kylie Minogue is eager to reunite with the man who discovered her, music industry veteran Pete Waterman.

Waterman - most recently a judge on British talent show Pop Idol - turned Kylie from a Australian soap actress into one of the biggest names in British pop.

Now 36, Kylie wants to re-team. She says: 'He gave me great songs like Better The Devil You Know and Shocked and I think it could be fun to team up again after all these years. Who knows, it might just work.'

[Hollywood News] London, Sep.17 : Kylie Minogue's Croatian gig has been cancelled following protests from sponsor Croatian telecom's staff, which wants the funds to be spent to save jobs instead.

Kylie was scheduled to perform in the Croatian capital Zagreb to mark the change of brand name by Croatian Telcomm.

However the management, which had reportedly announced that there might be some entrenchment in the company, had to call off the show as they feared that the angered staff might go on strike if funds were spent on sponsoring the show.

'We wanted Kylie to perform but it won't happen because of protests by unions. At this stage the concert would be a provocation,' Company president Ivica Mudrinic was quoted as saying. (ANI)

Pop beauty Kylie Minogue's French has improved so radically since she began dating gallic hunk Olivier Martinez, the singer is nearly fluent.

The In Your Eyes star has been in a relationship with the Unfaithful heart- throb since May 2003 and after dating Frenchman Stephen Sednaoui in 1994, the tiny Australian's language skills are near-perfect.

Minogue says: "I speak far more fluently when I'm really tired or jet-lagged or it's the end of they day and I call him. It just comes out a lot easier.

"Or of course, a few glasses of wine can help. I'm always trying to improve. My pronunciation is great. I don't have problems with the accent and I've got the pout, but my grammar is almost non-existent. I have a way to go but he finds it very cute."
