Scott's report:
Hey there,
I said I would give an update of mt time at the Kylie ' Money Can't Buy ' concert so here it is.
Okay so I am back from my weekend in London, Kylie was just amazing and the show was spectacular to say the least.
I picked up my tickets in person from the Hammersmith Apollo box office and was accosted by strangers eager to buy my tickets as soon as I got outside. My magic envelope contained 2 tickets and a laminate with the words V.I.P on it , how chuffed was I ?
Anyhoo our hotel was just across the road, handy or what? I can highly recommend the Novotel chain of hotels , our room was only £69 for the night in West London and was well appointed , I was so excited to find an ironing table cum trouser press on the wall LOL. A minibar was dangerously located in the corner of the room too hehe.
Back to the show then, we arrived about 7pm after a couple of pre - gig drinks in the hotel bar (oh yeah we got a free drink voucher for the bar as well as a big bottle of mineral water delivered to the door of our room - you would think I was on commission for them ;-).
Got in after a fashion, lot's of queuing and TV stations interviewing the crowd, walked in to the Apollo and it was all standing , I was appalled at the people who were drinking and smoking inside, I am not used to that in a theatre.
At around 8pm Cat Deeley came on stage to announce the advert breaks which will be edited into the programme for ITV later this week. We were all asked to go mad as if Kylie had just fifnished a number and we were applauding it.
At 8.35pm Cat Deeley came back on stage and made us count down from 10 to 1 to get the show started. Kylie breezed through her set list with a truly amazing show with Video screens and wizardry I never knew existed. This show apparently cost £1million to stage.
During the show many celebs could be seen on their feet upstairs in the VVIP area , her sister Dannii, her man Olivier along with Will Young, Rachel Stevens, Mystiq and Harvey from So Solid Crew to name a few.
After the show we went into Soho in search of a pub, unfortunately we timed it badly and arrived at 10.55pm and they wouldn't let us in as last orders are at 11pm, goddamn antiquated English laws!!!
We were desperate for a beer so ventured back up Tottenham Court Road to G.A.Y which is a club night in the London Astoria. I took David round and gave him the tour of this huge club, we had a few drinks and danced to a couple of numbers , Holly Valance was due @ 1.30am but we left at 12.45am absolutely knackered.
We luckily managed to get a night bus back to Hammersmith costing only £1, bonus!!!
All in all a fantastic night in old London town.
Remember to look out for me on the programme , broadcast id on ITV1 @ 5.40pm on Saturday 22/11/03. Called Kylie Live.
Until next time
Love to you all.
