Kylie Minogue: Body Language

Kylie would seem to be more entitled than most to do her bit for the 80s revival. She was, after all, there briefly first time round. But her 80s of 2003 with its retro electro-pop flavours is a whole lot more stylish than her Stock Aitken and Waterman years.

And while this has nothing quite as nagging as her mega-hit Can't Get You Out of My Head from the previous Fever, it feels a more cohesive album and sexier for it. The purring single isn't the only moment which can't decide between dancefloor and boudoir.

Elsewhere Kylie does Prince (Still), raps a bit without sounding stupid (Secret), veers confidently into R&B (Red Blooded Woman), and delivers at least one nutty house track (I Feel For You).

It might be dancepop-lite but Body Language shows that Kylie still does Kylie better than anyone.
