SINGER JUST CAN'T GET TRIPS OUT OF HER HEAD

KYLIE DUMPS FLIRTY OLIVIER

By Raymond Hainey

FURIOUS Kylie Minogue split with lover Olivier Martinez over his secret trips with other beauties.

Pals revealed the pop princess was sick of seeing her boyfriend pictured with other women.

She believed his denials that he had been unfaithful but could not bear the constant rumours.

Kylie, 38, revealed the couple were no longer an item in a statement on Friday but insisted the break-up was amicable.

One friend said: "They loved each other but Kylie just couldn't trust him in the end.

"Whether anything was going on or not, it was just intolerable."

The last straw was pictures of Israeli model Sarai Givati visiting Olivier's hotel suite while Kylie was on tour last month. Only five months after he and Kylie became an item, he was seen cuddling up to Angelina Jolie.

He was pictured with actress Michelle Rodriguez on singer P Diddy's yacht in St Tropez in August 2004. A few months later, he was pictured kissing Rodriguez outside a Hollywood hotel.

Kylie was said to have confronted him over the rumours of a fling with Sarai in December.

An insider said: "Kylie and Olivier have a strong bond but she couldn't take any more revelations. There was a feeling it was beginning to make her look stupid."

But a spokesman insisted they remained "very close friends".

The statement said: "The decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable."

DARRYN LYONS saw KYLIE MINOGUE break-up coming

DARRYN LYONS
PAPARAZZI photographers had been aware of the looming split between KYLIE MINOGUE and OLIVIER MARTINEZ since Christmas.

That's the revelation from Geelong-born paparazzi snapper Darryn Lyons, who yesterday said he had been chasing the story for weeks.

``We've been working on this story since just before Christmas. She was out here (in Australia) then and he was supposedly in Paris with another woman,'' Lyons said.

``I think it's a real shame. She's very good with my guys in London and it's another poor Kylie situation.''

Lyons said persistent rumours of an impending break up had put celebrity snappers on edge, as they endeavoured to capture the moment Martinez strayed from the Australian-born pop princess.

In particular, Lyons said the paparazzi had fed off sightings of Martinez with Israeli model Sarai Givati.

``We've had regular tip offs, so it's been going for a long time. There's been rumours about the Israeli model but no one has been able to get the picture,'' he said.

News of Minogue's split from Martinez emerged at the weekend, when the couple released a joint statement to announce they were going their separate ways.

Lyons said the break up would also be a bitter pill to swallow for Minogue's legion of fans in Britain.

``Kylie is so close to the British people, it's like they've adopted her as their own. She's so unbelievably popular that I think the whole of Britain will be after him,'' he said.

``It's hard to describe how big Kylie is in Britain but basically anyone doing something bad to her, it's like shooting Bamby.''

Lyons said his team of photographers would pursue Minogue and Martinez over the coming days.
